Roku "HDCP Unauthorized" purple screen
This means your Roku can't confirm that your TV or receiver supports HDCP, the copy-protection standard used over HDMI. It's usually caused by a cable or connection problem.
- Unplug the HDMI cable from both your Roku and your TV.
- Turn off your TV and Roku and unplug them from power.
- Reconnect the HDMI cable firmly, plug everything back in and turn it on.
- Try playing the video again.
Still seeing the message? Try a different HDMI input or a shorter cable, connect the Roku directly to the TV without a receiver or switch, or change Settings > Display type on your Roku. For more help, visit Roku Support.
